Hot air balloon safaris £250

A one hour flight taking in the best of the lowveld scenery around Hoedspruit – the Drakensberg Escarpment provides a natural amphitheater which results in spectacular landscapes and shelter from winds providing particularly safe flights.


Wildlife safaris £50 (minimum four people)

A day trip to the world famous Kruger National Park including your own photographic field guide and breakfast and lunch. Almost guaranteed opportunities to see the big five (elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo) as well as see African wild dogs in one of their last strongholds.

Blyde river boat trip £25

Sail in the world’s largest ‘green’ canyon and Africa’s second largest canyon. See hippos, crocodiles, several primate species and much more. The canyon is famous for its three rondawels, reminiscent of the huts of local communities as well as the second highest Tufa waterfall in the world, Kadishi Tufa also known as the weeping face of nature due to the rock formations around it. Your guide will show you this as well as explain much about the habitat of the canyon.

Night sky photography sessions £50

Nowhere does night skies like Africa – well, except for maybe Chile but we do do them very well! The night photography session is a two hour session where you will learn how to use your camera on manual to make the most of the night sky as well as how to do star trails.

Snake handling course £220

A little different to handling dogs, snake handling is for those who are passionate about reptiles and wish to pursue a career with them or need the certificate in order to take up certain positions. Please be aware, this is a highly stressful and difficult course and students must not consume alcohol 24 hours before commencement or during the two days. In addition this course is not generally covered by medical travel insurance so you will need to check this.
